When i went to a photo shoot of a recently fitted floor, i was greeted by this beautiful original oxblood. The colour and the fade of years of wear and tear made me fall deeply in love. But alas it was not for sale and the owner was more enamored with it than i was (and rightly so).
The client originally wanted a medium oak maybe with a bit of a rustic look to it when i showed then the arctic pine from Kaindl and started talking about contrasts and how it can add a sense of depth they decided to take a chance. They were unsure at first but once we had fitted the floor they were ecstatic with the colour and the contrast.
It just goes to show that you should always look outside the box for things because you never know , you might just end up with something very special.
The floor was supplied and fitted by Tannyoky Floors.
